The Independent Publisher's Kit

The iPubKit – Independent Publisher's Kit, fills a much needed publishing alternative to POD – publish on demand and traditional publishing houses.  There are over 100,000 new books published each year in the United States and the same or more in the UK.  In the last ten years an evolution has begun that is shifting the basic foundation of the publishing industry, “indie” publishing.  In the past an author would write a story, submit that story to a publisher or an agent and wait years for the slim chance their book makes it into print.  As margins shrink and costs skyrocket, the traditional publishing houses have been forced to take fewer and fewer risks with unknown authors.  With the advent of digital technology, word processing and the internet, a new avenue has opened up for author’s whose works could not breech the walls of the established publishing houses.  POD companies with names like Outskirts, Lulu, iUniverse and Authorhouse became the ray of hope for a new generation of writers, but costly barriers and severe limitations still remain.

Consider that you are a small business or a consultant and a published book would help enhance your business.  Or, that you are a new author and your goal is to make your story available to the world.  By that we mean in such a way that any bookstore in the world as well as the multitude of virtual bookstores would be willing to stock your book.  You’ve spent two years trying the tradition route with no success.  Now you decide to try and become an independently published author. There are so many options and unknowns to deal with, where do you begin?

After spending many years in the publishing industry and trying to get my own works into print, we’ve developed a basic fundamental list of the essential elements a prospective “indie” will need to become an established publisher.  Then we then figured out how to roll these into one package and streamline the process.  This reduces the expense, length of time and aggravation that surrounds the building these pieces separately.

The iPubKit will be available soon as the cost effective solution for the Indie Publisher and Author. Please check back soon as details will be added frequently as we approach our launch date.
